Panasonic and NovaLine holographic projection 'revives' André Hazes
Both companies have used new technology to create a realistic hologram of Dutch artist André Hazes at tribute concerts, based on laser projection and a screen invisible to the public injected with nanotechnology.
Panasonic Visual Systems and NovaLine have provided the necessary technology to create an innovative hologram of the singer André Hazes during the four concerts offered in his honor during the Holland zingt Hazes festival, in Holland. The artist's images were projected on stage thanks to the Panasonic PT-RZ31KEJ laser equipment, of 30.000 lumens.
The screen on which the hologram was projected, designed by the NovaLine company and with dimensions of 15×3 metros, was invisible to the public, since a special nanolayer had been injected that, combined with a laser light, creates a very bright and realistic image.
From the first concert the audience was surprised by the hologram, since the screen was not visible, much less the Panasonic projector, that was hidden from the public, integrated into the stage and located just in front of it, whose curvature allows viewers to see the image from all angles and take good photographs without any problem.
The images of André Hazes, who appeared on stage singing his big hit 'Zij gelooft in mij', were produced by NovaLine, specialist in the development of visual solutions for events, shows and digital signage.
NovaLine worked on the images for more than a year, in close collaboration with the family of André Hazes. El actor Martijn Fischer, who already played the role of this artist in the musical comedy 'Zij gelooft in mij' and in the film 'Bloed, second & tears', was the model to create the hologram.
In addition, photos and videos of Hazes were used to recreate all of his facial features with maximum perfection., and therefore the producers deliberately chose a classic projection of the artist. Although sometimes the color black can be problematic for projections, The high quality of the colors and images allowed the Dutch star to appear dressed in his characteristic black suit and hat..
The Holland zingt Hazes festival was the first event in which the young company NovaLine has presented this screen injected with nanotechnology, in which they have invested “more than two and a half years working on the materials used in the screen fabric”, remember Liam Mahon, business development manager at NovaLine.
Both the producers of the event and the Hazes family considered that “the hologram has been an exceptional way to celebrate the fifth edition of the concert,” explains Mahon.. The display is a totally new solution for holographic displays. The canvas measures 15×3 metros, pesa 2 kilos and is invisible to the human eye, but it is also very resistant”.
For the design of this screen, NovaLine technicians have used new nanomaterials “with amazing properties. The screen only captures the light from the laser projection and absorbs all other light sources, so the public not only perceives a very precise hologram, but you can also see through it.", this manager points out.
Besides, Other materials eliminate image distortions and unwanted lighting effects. A new antistatic material prevents dust from accumulating on the screen and thus ensures that it remains completely invisible at all times. “We have high hopes for this new screen, not only for events and shows, but also for museums and shop windows, For example", said Mahon.
Holland zingt Hazes has also been a great opportunity to show the possibilities of Panasonic Visual Systems laser projection technology. “The concert organizers contacted us and asked for a laser projector that could project the hologram,” recalls Ben Moors., sales project director of this company for Benelux-. We recommend the model PT-RZ31KEJ, with a shine of 31.000 lumens, and our star product”.
With high image quality, This projector is especially suitable for the rental market, mapping projects and large events. “For this projection we use a 3” ultra-short distance lens., which allows the equipment to be placed very close to the screen. Thanks to Holland zingt Hazes we were able to show Dutch companies the possibilities of our technology and laser projectors”.
