Riyadh station hosts the largest interactive video wall 'made in Spain' in Saudi Arabia

The Coruña company Tattoo Contract is immersed in a project to equip six main railway stations in Saudi Arabia. An initiative that has included the construction of an interactive semicircular video wall, at Riyadh station, which according to the company is the largest in the world.

With the help of its Lab division, The company won the contest jointly with its local partner in Saudi Arabia, of the equipment of the six main train stations in Saudi Arabia (Quran, Aljawf, Hail, Qassim, Almajmaah and Riyadh) over more than a thousand kilometers crossing the desert. A facility that includes the central offices of the company responsible for this project SAR (Saudi Railway Company) and also to provide audiovisual technology to one of its most unique buildings, dedicated to exhibition purposes, museums and large events.

For this video wall, 54 monitors LG of 55 ultra thin inches of 500 nits that are placed at two heights. These screens feature an IPS panel that allows for greater color accuracy, image quality and viewing angle. “The entry of natural light was another added difficulty that had to be resolved.”. “The exact placement of the proximity detection cameras had to be calibrated and designed so that they were not affected by light”.

The project that Tattoo Contract is carrying out in Saudi Arabia began with the complete equipment of a train station and has continued with the equipment of five more, to continue with the equipment of its central offices and finish with this great audiovisual support.

“In the case of the stations, we have had to move hundreds of containers from Spain to Saudi Arabia, and due to the product we were working on, extreme precautions were taken, we worked hard on the certifications, the demand of the Arab market, always, etc. In the end, and thanks to the knowledge of the logistics teams and previous experience in the area, “It has been managed to overcome it in a satisfactory way”, the company manager.
