The firmware V1.2 of the SQ mixers Allen & Heath now supports DX Hub, a hardware expansion distributor that allows you to connect multiple DX168 stage boxes to a single SQ mixer. This way, it is possible to manage 48 channels on stage, all of them working 96 kHz, or deploy up to eight portable expanders whenever necessary.

Another new feature of version V1.2, which can be downloaded at this link, is that it adds two independent automatic mixers (AMM), based on classical D algorithm, which is part of Allen's DEEP processing system & Heath, and provides a zero-latency solution for voiceover mixing, such as conferences, meetings, o debates.

SQ can simultaneously handle two independent meetings, each of them with up to twenty-four microphones, or also combine both AMMs to manage a single conference with up to 48 canales.

Para Keith Johnson, product manager de SQ: “This is an excellent console for corporate and AV work and, thanks to the power of our XCVI core and DEEP processing, added double AMM without compromising latency <0.7ms”.

DX Hub Support “allows I/O to be placed anywhere – continues that expert-, either taking all the inputs on stage or distributing up to eight DX168 expanders to 96 kHz throughout the installation. “One of the most requested features is the freedom to assign colors to channels; “A huge help to manage the mix at a glance”.
