The Matrox solution responded to these requirements as well as the agenda management used in the city., NovusAgenda, and the Novus video server.

The encoder they had previously was not compatible with the Novus solution and this was another reason why it was decided to replace the old equipment.

The city has four PTZ cameras that are responsible for sending signals to the production switcher., providing HDMI input to Monarch HDX H.264 encoding device. Monarch HDX encodes the signals and transmits them to the Novus video server. This delivers them as live online broadcasts through the city's web portal. In addition, the encoder also records them simultaneously in MP4 format on an SD card.
