Ibercover Studio integrates interactive technologies for the global roadshow of the Bahri shipping company
An interactive touch wall, a transparent screen, virtual and augmented reality positions and more systems are integrated into the technological truck developed by Ibercover Studio for this Saudi transport company.
Bahri, national shipping company of saudi arabia, and the world's largest owner and operator of VLCCs (very large crude carriers), currently has 87 ships, what it means to move 11,6 million tons of cargo at any time of the day, for which technology is a vital element in all this operation.
Precisely in order to make known how it carries out this activity effectively and safely, Bahri has trusted the Spanish company Ibercover Studio for your informative project on wheels: a truck equipped with innovative technologies to carry out a global roadshow for the company.
In this transformable truck from scratch, Ibercover has designed and integrated an innovative and surprising space, equipped with two virtual reality stations, developed with Oculus Rift, and augmented reality with holograms with Microsoft Hololens, as well as two video servers equipped with the graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 to virtually enter ships, tour it and learn how it works.
Besides, The truck is equipped with technologies developed in Spain, as an interactive touch wall with animated projections, real-time visualization of big data, interactive touch maps and transparent screens with one-way sound, etc.
Attendees can learn about the history of the company through an interactive mural that, when you touch it, begins a series of projected animations that will complete the Bahri timeline; as well as locating in real time and with geolocation where each of the 87 ships of this shipping company, with information about your status, load, destiny and more.
A projection on a model of the world map shows all the ship routes according to their type of cargo., and the assistant can control the system with the movement of his hand thanks to a sensor Leap Motion integrated into it.
2D and 3D modelers, animators, visual artists, producers, engineers, programmers and technicians have worked together to create this Bahri roadshow on wheels that will travel around the world.
In total, The project has had a team made up of 42 professionals, that for six months and with an investment of more than 1,5 million euros to launch “the most technological trailer on the planet”, as described by those responsible.
