D&b GSL: reinforcement speakers for large spaces

The geometry of two engines 14 inches, facing front, and two of 10 inches, oriented to the sides, cardioid techniques are combined and applied creating precise directivity behavior with a significantly expanded low frequency dynamic range towards the audience area.

This extension of low frequencies and dynamic range is so effective that, in many applications, avoids the need to hang subwoofers behind or next to main riggings.

The midrange is delivered through a highly sensitive trumpet loaded with a 10” motor., while three innovative HF motors with 3.4” diaphragm, Custom designed and mounted on a wave shaping device provide high frequency resolution and output..

Each speaker is amplified in active two-way mode by d's D80 amplifier.&b: one channel activates the 14” motors, and for all other components the frequency is divided and passively activated by a second channel.

The SL-Sub and SL-GSub complement the bass with two forward-facing 21” drivers and a single rear-facing 21” driver delivering cardioid dispersion..

The former can be hung while the latter is designed for above-ground stack applications.. Amplified in two-way active mode from two channels of the D80 amplifier, Its SPL and dynamic range reduce the number of subwoofers normally needed.
