Mapping of 30 meters on the catwalk with 8K images at the III Panorama Awards
Five RZ21K laser projectors in Panasonic blending, each one with 20.000 lumens, will create this spectacular mapping during the Panorama Awards gala, which is being held today in the unique space of the Madrid Fashion Week catwalk.
Los Panorama Awards, that are celebrated today (at 19.30 hours, invitation access), in the Pavilion 14 of Ifema – Madrid Fair will have videomapping this year, of 30 meters long that will bathe’ the catwalk of Madrid Fashion Week; a unique space chosen to celebrate the third edition of these awards, which will be filled with light thanks to the blending of five RZ21K projectors from Panasonic.
Power OFF, that runs with the technical execution of the project for this gala, has been in charge of launching this spectacular setup to project images in 8K resolution created by Maxpel Productions.
Panasonic RZ21K is a compact and lightweight high-brightness projector and its size is the smallest of any 20.000 lumens. Thanks to its weight, of alone 49 kilos, it is extremely easy to handle, making it perfect for rental or use on stage.
Antonio Castillo, director of Panorama Audiovisual, promoter of awards for excellence in the audiovisual industry, explains that “the challenge this time was to 'bathe', with textures and referential images with solid colors, an immense catwalk 30 meters long and 3 ancho. Our goal was for the mapping to be very subtle, but at the same time very luminously outlined on a gray carpeted surface. For this, We entrust Power AV with the installation of five Panasonic RZ21K projectors, that with its DLPs of 3 chips and Solid Shine laser phosphor technology ensure stunning image quality, despite the difficult projection surface. In the end, the effect we were looking for has been achieved, have a 'living carpet'”.
On RZ21K projectors, Solid-state laser light sources and heat-resistant phosphor wheels work in conjunction with three discrete DLP modules (R/G/B) to achieve a high shine, realistic color accuracy and high contrast in large spaces.
Finally, Note that the management of all content in 8K resolution will be carried out from a Watchout system (version 6) of Dataton.
Internal production in 4K
For the first time, an awards ceremony in Spain, in this case starring in the third edition of the Panorama Awards, It will have an internal signal in Ultra High Definition 4K.
For this, Power AV will use a 4K robotic camera (Panasonic Aw-ue70 Con sensor mos de 1/2,3′′k HDR, optical zoom 20 increases and iA of 22 4K magnification and OIS stabilizer), along with several Panasonic AK-UC3000 studio cameras, equipped with optics Fujinon and an ATEM mixer Blackmagic.
