The luxurious Zachary Hotel in Chicago is provided with sound with Martin Audio CDD systems

The sound infrastructure consists of 33 Martin Audio CDD6 systems. Five CDD6WR speakers have been installed on the patio, eight CDD5 around the bar, nine C6.8T in the toilets and 11 CSX112 subwoofers have been mounted in the ceiling.

Located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, next to Wrigley Field stadium, home of the Chicago Cubs, the boutique hotel is located Zachary, an establishment that has a gastronomic offer from the best restaurants in the city such as Mordecai Whiskey & Grill, West Town Bakery y Dutch & Doc’s. This is a luxury hotel managed by Pivot Hotels & Resorts, and member of Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott International and owned by Hickory Street Capital.

To liven up this environment of modernity and luxury, Tim Pickett, president of Encompass Audio Visual, explains how this establishment has been equipped with the system Martin Audio CDD. “We designed the audio/video system that runs throughout the hotel lobby space, and which also includes the reception area, a large open bar in the center, a patio on the second level and a private dining room”.

The sound system consists of 33 Martin Audio CDD6 in a custom color (London Fog) to unite the interiors with the rest of the building, along with five CDD6WR patio speakers. There are eight CDD5s mounted around the bar as fill speakers for those sitting at the bar. These are ceiling and wall mounted and nine C6.8T ceiling speakers were installed in the bathrooms and 11 CSX112 subwoofers that are also ceiling mounted throughout the space.

As Pickett explains, With this infrastructure they sought to offer clear sound, clear and uniform in a space that varies depending on the people congregating in certain areas, like the bar and the individual tables where people have lunch. "However, we are faced with hard acoustic surfaces such as a ceiling without sound absorption, hard walls and floors, and many glass surfaces. The trick was getting exceptional coverage with correctly placed small speakers and strategically placed subs to fill out the low end.. The hotel wants a very good quality sound that is happy and rocking”.
