Uvesco Group trusts in Toshiba retail technology for its supermarket network
The objective of the project is to reduce waiting time at the checkout with its modular solutions and make customer purchasing an easier process., fast and intuitive.
The food distribution group Uvesco, with more than 216 supermarkets spread throughout Spain and with the expectation of continuing to expand its network after the acquisition of the Gigante chain last year, has signed an agreement with Toshiba to incorporate its specialized retail technology into its entire network and improve the flow of customers in the store.
In a first phase, Uvesco will install the Japanese multinational's solutions in seven of its supermarkets over the next three months, with the expectation of extending it to a large part of its centers in the next two years.
Among other solutions contemplated in the agreement, the integration in SCO System establishments stands out. 6, a sales terminal composed of three modules (scanning, payment and bagging of products), that can be combined according to the particularities of each center, thus improving available space and peak purchasing at checkout.
The modular capacity of Toshiba's retail technology has been one of the most highlighted aspects by Uvesco, along with its easy adaptation to the group's sales applications.
As José Manuel Ferrer has pointed out, by Uvesco, “We have a long relationship with Toshiba, what, in recent years, “It has helped us in the development of our business and has been able to evolve by providing solutions for clients”.
