Crescent relies on Powersoft sound for its facilities in New Orleans

The New Orleans Business Audio and Video Solutions Provider, Crescent Multimedia Solutions, teamed up this summer with Powersoft Audio and since then he has installed his amplifiers in different spaces, like the project carried out in the new building of Zehnder Communications or the historic New Orleans Courthouse.

Cory Ancar, president of Crescent, The size and efficiency of Powersoft platforms were key factors in implementing them in these projects. “The physical amount of space that amplifiers take up is important to us when we start building these large-scale racks.. Sometimes you can have problems when the design leads you to have two racks, “But with the architectural series that Powersoft offers we can solve it with a single AV rack and incorporate all the amplification we need”.

With offices in Baton Rouge (Louisiana) y Nashville (Tennessee), Zehnder Communications has moved its headquarters to a new space in Canal Place, an office and retail building located in the French Quarter area of ​​New Orleans, overlooking the Mississippi River.

“I needed many audio channels, all running from a centralized location. Each zone operates independently, under normal circumstances. So, when I had to start routing the audio from all the rooms to a central location, the Dante protocol, The DSP and small form factor made everything simpler”, commenta drill.

Bohrer used three Powersoft Quattrocanali amplifier platforms to power the system, which clarified that in past designs it had taken twice as many amplifiers and twice as much rack space . “Add to that the extra work that would have been necessary due to the lack of Dante in most amplifiers, as well as the extra work for DSP programming that you lose with other amplifiers. Powersoft amplifiers are more efficient, which also brings more cost savings”.

Another reason why Powersoft audio solutions were chosen was the possibility of controlling, from a central location, audio in all rooms.

After designing the new Zehnder Communications offices, Ancar and Bohrer have commented that they have already begun to incorporate Powersoft amplifier platforms into designs for future installations., including the recently completed one at the Courthouse at the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court.
