BrightSign accompanies the Real Madrid World of Football on its traveling tour
This interactive experience, who has started his tour in Melbourne, welcomes visitors with two video walls configured with 36 49” screens and 12 BrightSign XT243 players. Another eight XD1033s man the information terminals located throughout the exhibition.
The interactive traveling exhibition Real Madrid World of Football has begun its journey in the city of Melbourne. This is an initiative that will run, for five years, 14 cities to bring the world of this football club closer to fans from all over the planet.
The sample, located in the Melbourne Museum Plaza, is inspired by the Santiago Bernabéu stadium and combines interactive experiences with spectacular audiovisual presentations and gaming technologies.
In this pavilion 1.600 square meters this exhibition is offered made up of four sections. One displays the white team's trophies and memorabilia and traces the history of the club through audiovisual screens and interactive technology.. Another space recreates match days at the Santiago Bernabéu through a 360º cinematographic experience.
In the Come Play area!, fans can play and test their skills, as well as having fun at the EA Sports FIFA Arena. The fourth area is dedicated to merchandise so that visitors can purchase seasonal products. 2018/19 or take a photo with the footballers through technology.
This interactive experience has been created by the company Interp, specialists in the development and installation of temporary exhibitions and experiences, in collaboration with the Melbourne Museum (Melbourne Museum). Interp went to Amped Digital (Perth-Australia) to design the video wall that is located at the entrance to the pavilion and welcomes visitors. This spectacular visual support, Along with the information terminals that are arranged throughout the exhibition, they have BrightSign digital signage players to display the contents., which have been created by Tania Price.
As visitors enter the massive 50-seat pavilion×30 metros, created by Interp, are captivated by two video walls configured with 18 screens and equipped with BrightSign players programmed by Amped, associated with a wall of sound.
Creating video walls with this format is already a challenge but it will be even more so in this exhibition as it will be dismantled and reassembled at least fifteen times around the world without the presence of the original designers.. The video wall should work flawlessly out of its packaging boxes every time.
“We create an AV explosion, a spectacular immersive experience that excites visitors and sets the expectation for what is to come. Even for an AV-pro like me, the final effect is dizzying: a combination of 36 large format screens that offer content in perfect synchronization, all this accompanied by a wall of sound”, explica Matt Steedman, director de Amped Digital.
The entrance consists of two video walls, each with eighteen HD panels of 49 inches. “Real Madrid players are famous for their passing, which implies perfect timing. Creating the World of Football entrance video wall required even greater timing precision. Shows a video that is transmitted with complete precision around the 12 media players de BrightSign. We use these devices for their ease of use and the accuracy with which they can be synchronized., as well as for its durability and reliability”, commented Dylan Daniel Holtzhausen, Operations Manager de Amped Digital.
The visitor's field of vision spans several screens, so the timing must be precise on each screen, on both walls. A discrepancy of a single frame or even half a frame would ruin the effect. Amped used 12 XT243 players for the video wall, each with two or four screens. All of them are networked and one works as a master. “All players take their time from this master, starting playback of each of the eight video segments at exactly the same time”.
Another eight BrightSign XD1033 players have also been used to implement eight HD interactive information terminals of 40 inches, located in the four areas that make up the exhibition. The players are connected to the screens via USB and control navigation and playback of selected content. Amped created the entire navigation structure in BrightAuthor.
Amped is also responsible for coding and labeling the cables to simplify reinstallation while the World of Football travels around the world.. To minimize the wiring required, Powers the media players from the network switch using Power over Ethernet.
