Audinate adds video to Dante networks with new AV module
Dante AV offers ease of use, Unified control and tight Dante synchronization for audio and video distribution over standard IP networks.
The developer of Dante network audio technology, Audinate, has announced the launch of Dante AV, a complete, integrated audio and video networking solution that offers all the benefits that have made Dante an audio over IP standard.
This Audinate solution enables complete interoperability with more than 1.600 Dante-enabled audio products already on the market. Resolves network audio and video synchronization issues, using a single network clock for sub-microsecond accuracy. Con Dante AV, Audio and video signals can be routed independently in a single, easy-to-use interface using Dante control software. Manufacturers can also leverage its API to customize the management user interface..
Dante AV solves time alignment issues and eliminates the need for audio embedders in applications like sports bars, live events and multi-zone AV systems. This module supports one video channel and 8 two-way channels of uncompressed Dante audio.
The Dante AV module is ideal for manufacturers creating 1G video over IP products and includes control, Dante transport and synchronization. Architecture is codec agnostic, so manufacturers can use the codec of their choice and still enjoy the benefits of Dante.
The product design package incorporates the Dante AV module and includes a complete set of hardware and software documents to create fully interoperable AV products quickly and reliably.. Includes a JPEG2000 codec with support for 4K/60 video 4:4:4 for lossless, low-latency visual results over a network. 1 Gbps.
Dante AV Product Design Suite also implements HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels over connections.
The Dante AV product suite can be easily customized to fit specific OEM requirements and provide competitive differentiation.
