DAS Audio designs the sound system for the Asian Games tennis center 2022

The complex that will host this sporting event has in its new tennis center speakers and digital amplifiers from this manufacturer that provide coverage, acoustic power and safety to the new venue.

The XIV World Swimming Championships (25m), held at the end of last year, tested the acoustics of the new tennis center, which is part of the Olympic Sports Center where the Asian Games will be held in 2022, in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, and the sound system THE audio, that met the expected audio quality and coverage expectations.

In record time, The sound amplification system was installed and adjusted to the highest standards to provide clarity and intelligibility in each of the seats in the venue..

In this sense, The pavilion has a tennis court to host the finals that can accommodate 10.000 spectators; two venues for semi-final matches, each one with 2.000 seating, and a temporary pool with 6.000 seating, built on top of the main runway.

The versatility of the tennis center and the design (unique in the world) of its roof posed a challenge for the acoustic installation, since it was necessary to guarantee uniform coverage and great power in all stands.

The impressive rotating retractable roof, formed by eight mobile 'petals', that open or close depending on weather conditions, required an audio system that was weatherproof and, besides, will perform at the highest level, regardless of the position of the cover.

For this reason, DAS Audio's HQ series speakers were chosen., with IP54 certification, specially designed for medium and large size installations, that provides control in coverage, long throw and great power capacity. These speakers include coatings, interior and exterior, to offer greater weather resistance and durability in extreme conditions.

The new DX series digital amplifier has also been installed (100I/80I), with built-in DSP processor, and the Dante transmission protocol. To improve the reliability and stability of the installation, use the redundancy of this audio network.

Regarding the coverage of the tennis center, The system has precisely distributed throughout the facility into four HQ cluster 212.95 flown over the East and West stands; twelve HQ cluster 212.95 flown over the North and South stands; six HQ cluster 212.95 flown over the main runway; four HQ cluster 212.64 flown in the VIP area and two Vantec 12 like floor monitors in front of the podium.
