Barco technology encourages classroom interaction and improves learning in Texas centers

At first, the wePresent solution was installed in the administrative offices and one of the Richardson ISD classrooms, now, Its implementation is being carried out in the classes of 54 school district campus.

El Richardson Independent School District de Texas (USA) was looking for a solution that would respond to the needs that arose in their meeting room. Needed a presentation tool that adapted to multi-platform infrastructure.

“Providing the center with a new solution was a necessity at a time when Byod practices prevail and a wide variety of Google devices prevail in each room., Apple, Android y Microsoft. We analyze five presentation solutions. Some only worked with a single operating system, Others did not adapt to our environment since they did not allow us to configure proxies or our layered security did not work well”, comenta Terry Balch, Technology Project Manager.

The solution was found in Barco wePresent. This tool allows up to four people to share content simultaneously, no matter what devices they are using or whether they are streaming to a projector or television screen.

“WePresent allows teachers to focus on helping their students learn.”. It gives students more flexibility and more opportunities to participate.”, Balch clarifies.

This flexibility is evident when we see the wide spectrum of applications in which wePresent is being used.. In addition to career and technical education classes, Richardson ISD is using it to teach everything, from billing to basic medical procedures, or how to take blood pressure.

At first, Barco installed wePresent in the administrative offices and in a classroom, but Balch is taking it to the classrooms of the 54 school district campus.
