AOpen Chromebox Commercial 2: fanless player for 4K

Open has introduced a commercial-grade Chromebox that can power 4K monitors. With a slim design, Dust resistant and no moving parts, Chromebox Commercial 2 can play content for two independent monitors, becoming an ideal solution for commercial use in demanding environments.

According to its manufacturer, it is the most advanced multimedia player with Chrome OS, ideal for the 4K video revolution available in digital signage. With the versatility of Intel and the ease of operation and centralized management that the Chrome Enterprise license offers, Continuous performance is provided even in the most demanding environments.

The device is available with 7th generation Intel Core i3 or Celeron processors. “The first is ideal for 4K and allows videos to be played in an energy-efficient way”, says José Ávalos, vice president of Intel IoT Group.

These improvements and efficiencies allow AOpen Chromebox Commercial 2 offer 4K playback all day. The new design has three USB 3.0, of USB 2.0, an RJ50 and HDMI 1.4b serial connector and 2.0. A remote power switch allows it to be turned on and off remotely.
