DVT, a Swiss audiovisual group with a strong presence in the Jura and Neuchatel areas of French-speaking Switzerland, has renewed its studies in Cortaillod installing videowalls Led Absen.

Founded in 1990, TVP among other productions carries out Canal Alpha, Specialized in news, Sports & Magazines. Around the 90% of the productions developed in their studios in Cortaillod are for Canal Alpha, But they also welcome companies looking for a state-of-the-art facility to start up their own productions..

TVP sought to replace LCD screens 55 inches of its videowall to bet on Led technology in an important update of the entire study.

"Led walls allow us to implement a very simple scene change, creating more dynamic environments for our programs. A large image surface is a crucial element, as the respective scene can be surrounded by digital images as a whole. We already knew Absen well due to its presence at trade shows such as NAB and IBC, and when we discovered that the local specialist integrator Telion was an Absen distributor, made it easier for us to access the products, as well as local support and advice", comments Marcello Del Zio, director and partner of TVP.

Stephan Hartmann, director of Telion's professional video department, explains why Absen was chosen for this installation. "The Led was the preferred technology due to its flexibility but also because of the little background of the screens, that save a very valuable space in this type of environments. Together with the client, we evaluate several manufacturers of Led but, in the end, we selected Absen for the color processing of 12 Bit, the high upgrade rate and attractive price-performance ratio".

At the heart of the new DVT studios have been installed 62 m² of panels Led N3 of Absen that form the impressive videowall that is shown in the background and the columns of the study; while six m² of the A2725 panels are embedded in the study tables. Content is fed to displays from a 4K video server (12 bit 4:4:4:4, 60hz) and the screens are controlled by 18 Novastar MCTRL660 supporting redundancy.

As a member of the N series of indoor Led displays of Absen, the N3 features a slim flat-panel design that's ideal for a studio-like fixed installation environment. Offers an extra-wide viewing angle of 160 Degrees, third-generation A3C calibration technology, provides high uniformity and intelligent monitoring to eliminate the need for add-on cards.

For its part, The A2725 is a standard display of 27,5 inches that also offers high image quality, Brightness and contrast, as well as the peace of mind provided by intuitive operation.

The installation team consisted of the studio's own staff, who carried out the general construction and assembled the screens, with on-site technical support from Telion and Absen technicians, to make sure they were configured correctly.

As Del Zio explains, The process was challenging "due to the complexity of our installation and the interaction with the rest of the technical systems that coexist in the studio., We developed much of the concept ourselves. Telion and Absen provided us with the necessary information and their participation in the final calibration to ensure that everything worked perfectly was invaluable for the realization of the project".
