Zytronic en Gizmo Bar“Our goal is to offer a comfortable environment, where people enjoy a drink while their personal technology equipment is being repaired. Gizmo Bar solves the pain of technical repair and offers a social and community experience that keeps people coming back”, comenta Shaun Robertson, founder of Gizmo Bar.

Gizmo Bar customers can sit at the bar while repairs are being made and enjoy a selection of local craft beers. The bar is built with interactive touch screens that allow guests to browse the web and catch up on work while they wait..

A total of six multi-touch screens 50 inches of custom design extend the length of the bar, making it possible for 12 or more people use its interactive capabilities simultaneously.

For greater comfort, Customers can use the touch screens to order food from local restaurants using food delivery platforms like UberEats, BiteSquad o Grubhub.

“The top of the bar is made up of touch screens arranged end to end, so we needed a solution durable enough to withstand heavy use. We chose Zytronic because they were able to design and manufacture a custom interactive solution made of highly durable glass, while maintaining seamless interactivity with zero latency”, Robertson adds..

The most common repairs done at the Gizmo Bar, such as mobile or tablet screen replacement, are done in one hour. The staff is trained to repair not only phones and tablets, but also drones.

Commenting on the importance of interactivity in the Gizmo Bar experience, Robertson adds: “Greenville's interactive bar is just the beginning. We will soon update the interactive bar with patented Object Recognition technology (Object Recognition) de Zytronic, which allows an element to be placed on the bar surface and the relevant information to be displayed automatically. For example, Specially designed coasters can offer information about local craft breweries that supply our taps. It is a way to create a deeper connection between our customers and the products we offer.”.

Gizmo Bar is the first of a series of establishments that its owners plan to open in the southeastern United States, in Charlotte and Atlanta.

Future establishments may include a retail component featuring technology products from crowdfunded entrepreneurs and other small-scale technology manufacturers, often overlooked by conventional retailers.
