The largest bookstore in Finland opens its stores near 200 altavoces Genelec 4000
Suomalainen Kirjakauppa has opted for the 4030C model to install in more than twenty stores spread throughout the country. The objective sought was to create an atmosphere and improve communication, with quality sound at low levels.
Founded in 1912, Suomalainen Bookstore is the largest bookstore and stationery chain in Finland, con 65 establishments throughout the country and an online store that sells an even greater variety of products.
During the last two years, The company has been redesigning many of its stores to improve the customer experience, especially when it comes to audio. Series Installation Speakers Genelec 4000 were selected to create atmosphere and improve communication, thanks to its ability to deliver high-quality sound at low levels.
“The challenge in a retail environment like ours is to offer clear and intelligible audio, but at relatively low levels. “We wanted to be able to convey sales and promotional messages that are perfectly intelligible at a low level so that customers absorb the message without it feeling like an intrusion.”, explained by Ari Hokkanen, business location manager de Suomalainen Kirjakauppa.
To respond to these challenges, the Genelec 4030C speakers have been chosen., specially designed for small and medium commercial facilities. Like all models in the series 4000, These integrate amplification modules for each speaker, active crossover filters and protection circuits.
Room response controls on the back of each speaker allow for precise room optimization, and there is also a level control for individual level adjustment.
As a result, no need for external amplifiers or processing racks, which makes installation cheaper. A wide range of accessories ensures that the speakers can be mounted where necessary to achieve the best results.
After a pilot project in the flagship store in Helsinki, The company decided to implement the concept throughout the country. At the moment, there are around 200 equipment installed in almost twenty stores throughout the country.
“I like the individual control we have over each speaker to ensure the audio is fully optimized throughout the store and can be adjusted to suit the specific location. Even when speakers have had to be placed in acoustically challenging areas of the store, they sound good. As a result, now we have a cleaner sound, clear and distinctive throughout, which has improved the customer experience. Our promotional messages are also much clearer now without being strident.”, adds Hokkanen.
