Intel presents at Insiders 2019 your strategy to lead in disruptive technologies

The new 10th generation of Intel Core processors, with an innovative assembly platform, The Athena Project and collaboration with a broad ecosystem of partners are the key elements of its growth.

Maximum performance, availability at all times, artificial intelligence, high battery durability, stable connection and design and integration are the pillars of Intel's innovation strategy to expand its market and generate business opportunities in the mobile systems segments, commercials and games.

This is what the managers of the Spanish subsidiary explained to the media during their Insiders event.. Intel's strategic vision “is data-centric. We are embarking on a great journey from PC to data. In fact, “More than half of our turnover comes from data”, Javier Galiana has pointed out, retail director EMEA at Intel (in the image below).

The pillars of this strategy have been the presentation of the 10th generation of Intel Core processors and Project Athena. In the first case, the first units -Core i3, i5 e i7- offer artificial intelligence (IA) broad spectrum for PC, thanks to deep learning technology Intel Deep Learning Boost.

These 10th generation Intel Core processors are based on 10nm process technology, the new Sunny Cove core architecture and the 11th generation of the graphics engine. They have up to four cores and eight threads, a maximum turbo frequency of 4.1, and a graphics frequency of up to 1.1 GHz.

Intel has also shared more details about its innovation program - called Project Athena., including target specification 1.0 which will introduce the first wave of laptops in the second half of this year. The company also offered a preview of early designs coming from partners like Acer, Dell, HP y Lenovo.

Based on several years of research to understand the needs, challenges and expectations of users regarding their laptops, The program prioritizes experiences that reflect real-world conditions reflected by Key Experience Indicators (key experience indicators, IT IS).

The first wave of KEI objectives includes: consistent battery response, with sixteen hours of battery life with local video playback and nine hours in real-world performance conditions, as well as wake the system from sleep mode in less than a second

As part of Project Athena, Intel will offer engineering collaboration support throughout the partner ecosystem – to which more than one hundred companies have already joined – and new Open Labs tools and facilities to support equipment verification and testing.
