The French company specialized in the deployment of dynamic signage solutions in the health and beauty sector, Futuramedia, has been working with Scala for more than 15 years to bring digital signage to the country's pharmacies.
Scala-based digital signage networks send content to clients, both inside and outside the store, y, According to the company, product sales are increasing by up to 80% in those establishments.
As part of the Cegedim group, Futuramedia first introduced the concept of digital signage in 2004 in pharmacies, health stores, medical centers, optical, pharmacies, beauty counters and hair salons, and has partnered with Scala over the years to offer a variety of dynamic signage options.
Futuramedia began offering pharmacies, to its laboratories and parapharmacies a digital signage network package based on Scala that included the placement of screens located near the point of sale (PoS).
It later added a second option to its offer that allows digital screens to be installed in shop windows.. Some supports that are used to inform and attract passers-by who pass in front of pharmacies.
The PoS network generally requires the installation of four screens and players per pharmacy in landscape mode, while the second option, which is facing the street, requires a combination of screen and player in portrait mode.
To date, Futuramedia has deployed more than 10.000 PoS screens in 2.500 pharmacies in France, supporting both queue management and additional sales within establishments. Besides, more than a thousand pharmacies have implemented or added storefront displays to their network to support their brand, visibility and drive foot traffic to the store.
A recent study by Futuramedia and a pharmaceutical laboratory shows that a combination of PoS and street signage has a greater impact, increasing sales of a specific product in a 77%, with an increase in sales 64%, vs pharmacies using only PoS screens, and almost the 50% for those that only use screens facing the street.
To carry out these projects, Futuramedia has established a multiple creative studio dedicated to generating content for these digital communication networks.
Pharmacies have a database that contains information on more than 15.000 products, allowing your teams to organize their own custom promotions through the Scala Content Manager web interface. The content manager also allows them to customize screens with pricing information and other information, like the weather forecast, which often sponsors pharmaceutical laboratories.
“We were looking for a very reliable and stable partner in 2004 when we launched our first network and Scala was already a household name in the United States at that time for digital content distribution. over the years, our partnership has grown stronger. It has continued to develop its services in a coherent manner based on the evolution of dynamic signage in France, when adding monitoring functions, targeting and content management to an already great solution. And we have worked together with the Scala team to improve services and adapt them to our clients' interfaces”, comments Mélanie Brughacchi, Futuramedia Project Manager.
