The iconic Hutton Hotel venue is provided with sound with Bose speakers
Defined as a space “created by artists and for artists”, Analog has been equipped with a sound system made up of eight ShowMatch DeltaQ modules, along with seven RoomMatch Utility RMU208 and six RMU105 speakers.
As part of your renewal process, the iconic Hutton Hotel, in the North American city of Nashville, has opened the doors of a new venue dedicated to live music performances, Analog.
This project has brought together several design and integration talents such as the company GreenLight Media and the acoustic expert Michael Cronin, British and Nashville resident, to the audiovisual solutions company Clair Solutions. Everyone worked to create an acoustic space where audio technology from Bose Professional has become the main protagonist with the ShowMatch and RoomMatch Utility lines.
Analog is part of the Hutton Hotel's innovative musical concept, which also includes a couple of creation rooms, musical rehearsal and recording: Writer Studios, created in collaboration with musicians Dierks Bentley and Ryan Tedder.
With a surface of 1.500 square meters, two floors in its central area, lounge and music venue, Analog can accommodate 160 seated spectators, although it has an occupancy capacity of up to 300 personas.
Those responsible for the hotel wanted the venue to be a reflection of the intimate atmosphere experienced at the Hutton, Cronin comments.. “It's like you're in your home room.”. The stage is less than half a meter high and you can sit in an armchair a couple of steps away from it.. Besides, there are a couple of VIP areas at the top, one with a bar area and the other with seating space. This design generates a large amount of reverb, at different times, within the same space. All of this represented a real challenge”.
Analog's musical programming, made in conjunction with Red Light Management, GreenLight Media partners, includes artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Luke Bryan y Lionel Richie.
Michael Cronin was in charge of giving an acoustic treatment to all the surfaces of the venue and acoustically isolating the Analog space from the rest of the hotel floors..
Clair Solutions, was responsible for the integration of the audio and lighting systems, who chose Bose Professional components for the speaker system and worked with their engineers to get the product mix right. “The goal was to achieve a vintage speakeasy-style bar. “The client didn’t want a lot of visible speakers.” comments your regional vice president in Nashville, Daniel Heins.
The main equipment consists of eight modules of the ShowMatch DeltaQ linear array system, along with seven RoomMatch Utility RMU208 and six RMU105 speakers, to provide coverage on balconies.
Six PowerMatch PM8500N and PM4250 amplifiers, connected to a Dante network, They are responsible for energizing the system, which is controlled through a ControlSpace ESP-880 processor. Four MB24 subwoofers 12 inches are hidden from public view.
“We worked with the architects to incorporate the subwoofers into the walls, taking care to keep them within acoustic insulation. We did not want the sound energy, coming from the premises, sneak into one of the adjacent rooms,” concludes Heins..
Clair Solutions also installed a background music system made up of eleven FreeSpace DS100F speakers and ceiling installation, PowerMatch PM8500N amplifiers and an ESP-880 processor.
Designed for musicians by highly qualified professionals under the direction of Red Light Management, venue offers state-of-the-art audio equipment for an unparalleled live experience. Thanks to its design, with a discreet modular stage and armchairs placed in the front row, the artists who perform at Analog can connect intimately with the public.
