Martin Audio Unveils New Blackline X218 Dual Transducer Subwoofer

The manufacturer expands the BlacklineX series of portable enclosures with this high-performance model, which has already become the best-selling in the company's history.

The BlacklineX series of Martin Audio, presented in the year 2016, it was the first developed under the direction of Dom Harter and became an immediate success, providing high performance and added value to a wide range of applications.

Among others, This series responded to mobile sound and stage monitoring for live bands, DJs and corporate events, as well as to installations in nightclubs, Bars, Commercial spaces and temples.

The original catalog included only two single subwoofers, one 15" and one 18". The X218 Dual Transducer Subwoofer, whose worldwide distribution will begin at the beginning of May 2020 and that it markets Audio-Technica Iberia in the domestic market, offers a wide operating range ranging from 42 Hz to 200 Hz, +3 db.

It is capable of generating high levels of output -SPL of 141 dB of peak (Half space)- No distortion, and can be used independently or in horizontal groups. To offer greater versatility in its deployment, X218 incorporates a neck insertion point (of 35 mm) that allows the assembly of full-range BlacklineX enclosures, as well as integrated M10 points for the insertion of eye bolts for suspension.

When used with BlacklineX Series full-range systems, The functions of crossover and EQ can be performed with DX0.5 controllers, DX4.0 or with Martin Audio's Integrated DSP Audio Amplifier.
