Martin Audio introduces the new Blackline X218 dual transducer subwoofer

The manufacturer expands the series of BlacklineX portable enclosures with this high-performance model, which has already become the best-selling in the history of the company.

At the BlacklineX series of Martin Audio, presented in the year 2016, was the first developed under the direction of Dom Harter and became an immediate success, providing high performance and added value to a wide range of applications.

Among others, This series responded to mobile sound systems and on-stage monitoring for live bands., DJs and corporate events, as well as installations in nightclubs, bares, commercial spaces and temples.

The original catalog included only two simple subwoofers, one 15” and one 18”. The X218 Dual Transducer Subwoofer, whose worldwide distribution will begin at the beginning of May 2020 and what markets Audio-Technica Iberia in the national market, offers a wide operational range that extends from 42 Hz at 200 Hz, +3 dB.

It is capable of generating high output levels -SPL of 141 peak dB (half space)- no distortion, and can be used independently or in horizontal groups. Besides, incorporates a double 18”/4” coil, as well as high excursion transducers housed in a reflex enclosure, Equipped with eight large ports to reduce air turbulence at high output levels.

To offer greater versatility in its deployment, X218 incorporates an insertion point for masts (of 35 mm) allowing mounting of full range BlacklineX enclosures, as well as integrated M10 points for inserting eye bolts for suspension.

When used with BlacklineX Series full range systems, the functions of crossover and EQ can be performed with DX0.5 controllers, DX4.0 or with Martin Audio's integrated DSP audio amplifier.
