d&b audiotechnik presents new software updates for the SL Series
The company has two programs available that improve the use of CPL technologies for the SL Series and temperature and humidity control (THC) Real-time high frequency compensation for speaker arrays.
Now available for download, the new CPL function for the SL Series that d&b audiotechnik has announced allows you to take full advantage of the large dynamic range of high frequencies (LF) of this series.
As part of the company's ArrayProcessing software, The THC function provides compensation for high frequencies that result from fluctuations in temperature and humidity and can now be managed in real time thanks to the R1 remote control software, which simplifies control and saves time.
“By visiting facilities with the SL Series and working in the field with users and technical teams, “We realized there was still room to improve the system’s workflow.”, explains Werner 'Cuatro' Bayer, product management manager at d&b.
These two new functions, as this expert points out, “They greatly improve day-to-day workflows and increase system performance in facilities. I recommend all users to update their system software as soon as possible”.
CPL for SL Series
With CPL function (Coupling, coupling, in the image above) for online arrangements of d&b, that already existed and is used to shape the frequency response of the array in the facilities, in addition to adjusting personal preferences, the function shelving system frequency can prevent access to the maximum potential of its frequency range.
This means that when the CPL function is activated, the dynamic range of high frequencies (LF) below 100 Hz of the SL Series is not fully available. New CPL software allows the SL Series to shape low and mid-low frequency responses independently, with individual controls for LOW and MID array response, and adds a new level of flexibility and efficiency to the CPL workflow.
Temperature and humidity control
Access to the new THC function included in ArrayProcessing is through d's R1 remote software.&b. This feature allows real-time adjustments under changing atmospheric conditions.
This new feature applies to a group of d arrays&b that work in ArrayProcessing mode, becoming an excellent tool for indoor or outdoor venues where temperature and humidity conditions can change many times during the event.
With improvements in resolution detail, flexibility, accuracy of response and efficiency of operation, These new technologies offer users a new level of performance, simplicity and efficiency of workflow.
