NRD collaborates with TSA in the implementation of the AV infrastructure of the Parliament of Catalonia
The recent renewal of the transport and signal distribution network of the Catalan institution, ya operativa, has counted on the technological work of the operations department of this audiovisual specialist.
The new audiovisual equipment in the Session Hall and the rest of the rooms in the Parliament of Catalonia, with the renewal of the production infrastructure, transportation and distribution has had the collaboration of the operations department of GDR Multimedia in the project awarded by public tender to Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA).
The objective of this has been to generate the single audio and TV signal of the sessions and events that take place at the Catalan parliamentary headquarters., and to be able to view in HD, listen, record and disseminate the interventions of deputies, both available to the media and to citizens through the Chamber's online media.
This renovation has involved the deployment of two signal transport networks that are mutually integrated: an audio network via Dante and another for transporting the video signals through a Riedel Communications, that allows the integration of the video system with the audio system, offering a decentralized solution to transport and distribute the generated signals via fiber.
Specifically, Mediornet systems are used, Micron and Metron from the German manufacturer Riedel for transport, processed, routing, monitoring and communications, as well as the Artist digital intercom system and the new Bolero wireless intercom system, integrated into this project, in which different companies in the sector have collaborated (more details in Panorama Audiovisual).
