Verizon acquires video conferencing company BlueJeans Network
With this operation, BlueJeans video solution will be integrated into networks, Verizon Business connectivity platforms and solutions, and the latter will expand its unified communications portfolio.
Verizon Business has signed an agreement to purchase BueJeans Network, an enterprise-grade video conferencing and events platform. With this acquisition, it expands the company's immersive unified communications portfolio.
BlueJeans' cloud-based video service serves a wide variety of business segments, from small organizations to some of the world's largest multinational brands, and has played an important role in continuing operations of those companies during the continued rise of work from home.
The transaction will combine the simple meeting platform, smart, reliable BlueJeans with Verizon unified communications as a service business right away. Besides, will be integrated into Verizon's 5G product roadmap, providing secure, real-time solutions for high-growth areas such as telemedicine, distance learning and field service work.

BlueJeans is one of the most used video conferencing and collaboration tools on the market, including cloud-based meetings and large interactive events that are simple, scalable and secure. BlueJeans founders and management team to join Verizon to lead continued business growth and innovation. Employees will join Verizon's workforce upon closing of the deal.
