Biamp completes the integration of HRT into its portfolio under the Modena name
After its acquisition, The wireless collaboration brand has been fully incorporated into the American manufacturer's portfolio with this new name that refers to its Italian origins..
Once the integration of the solutions of the Italian brand Huddle Room Technology is completed (HRT) in the portfolio of Biamp, The American manufacturer has changed the name of this firm's wireless collaboration products. (more details of the operation in Digital AV).
So, Modena Hub (before HRT One) and Modena Hub+ (before HRT One+) allow computers and mobile devices to connect wirelessly to meeting room peripherals, including screens, speakers, microphones and cameras without any physical connection.
Once connected, Users can display content, launch apps and participate in video conferences on your own personal device, turning any space within the company into one of collaboration (meeting rooms, workshops, auditoriums and even halls).
The Modena Hub version, more basic, It has an Ethernet mode in which the wireless network interface of this system connects to the corporate network, so that users remain connected to their usual WiFi network.
The corporate network can be configured to show Modena Hub also to guests and contractors, as is usually done with peripherals such as printers and scanners.
The Modena Hub+ model has, in addition to Ethernet mode, double network, which allows you to have -thanks to its double WiFi antenna- the so-called Direct mode, in which the network interface of this system is connected to the corporate network.
The Modena Hub+ WiFi network interface in this mode is used as a hot spot: guest users connect their devices directly to the SSID created by this system. The two networks are separated in this mode to create a completely isolated collaboration environment.
A third mode of Modena Hub+ is Infrastructure, in which the network interface of this wired system is connected to the corporate network and the guest network. An isolated collaboration environment is achieved by exploiting the existing network architecture of Corporate/Guest without any additional configuration.
Biamp's Modena solution that allows screen sharing and using USB devices wirelessly is available in the Spanish market through AVIT Vision.
