The company VIA Technologies, company represented in Spain and Portugal by Anatronic, The VIA Pixetto vision sensor is available, an intuitive platform to provide artificial intelligence insights (IA) and machine learning (ML) to secondary school students.

VIA Pixetto incorporates a set of tools that help students understand the basic principles and technologies of AI and ML, to apply them in your artificial vision and robotics projects (see attached table).

VIA Pixetto hardware features include a Full HD vision sensor, a Micro USB port 2.0, a Micro SD card slot, a microphone and a Grove connector for Arduino boards and peripherals, Raspberry Pi y micro:bit.

Richard Brown, vp. of international marketing of VIA Technology, points out that “as artificial intelligence and machine learning proliferate in all aspects of our daily lives, “It is essential that educational centers provide their students with theoretical and practical knowledge of these emerging technologies.”.

For this reason, The development of VIA Pixetto “responds to this need, with an intuitive platform that allows students to learn the basic principles of AI and ML and explore their potential applications by creating their own projects”, assures.

Integrated tools

  • Recognition models (pre-integrated) of object, shape, color, expression and writing that students can use when configuring the vision sensor.
  • ‘Beginner’ code blocks integrated with the Scratch platform to teach students basic programming.
  • Plataforma Accelerated Machine Learning online to help in the creation of new models in educational projects.
  • Advanced code support using Python and TensorFlow Lite.
