The company has developed complete laser display solutions (CLD) with the introduction of this new large version from the manufacturer dnp, especially aimed at the higher education and large spaces market.

Packages or complete laser display solutions (CLD), recently presented by Visual Displays have received such a positive response from the market that the company has decided to take the concept of 'all-in-one' macro-displays one step further, the result of which is the new XL version of the manufacturer dnp, of which he is a distributor.

This is how Greg Jeffreys explains it, director de Visual Displays: “when we originally announced the concept of CLD, The intention was to increase the size of flat screens from 100”. But the response we received suggested that we could overlay this, from 130” as an alternative to dvLed, with very easy to use CLD-XL packages, maintain and at half the cost”.

Given the changes that the health crisis has brought with it, especially in the education segment in general and in higher education in particular, Visual Displays wants to respond to your needs for blended learning and teaching in classrooms with interpersonal distance with its XL format, for optimal viewing for everyone from anywhere in the room, both in person and virtually.

“With every inch of teaching space now used in classrooms it is vital that we offer optimal readability and, in that way, ensure that students continue to participate in class without suffering fatigue or pure boredom - Jeffreys emphasizes -. We saw that the configuration had to be optimized and that its operation was very reliable, easy, light (with a simple wall mount) and almost maintenance-free”.

In this sense, CLD-XL has been practically tailored for the higher education sector, in which large format and flat screens are usually too small and dvLeds too expensive for academic centers.

This macro-screen complies with all regulations, exceeding the Avixa ISCR image contrast requirement for all viewers. Optimized image brightness is designed for all-day viewing without eye strain, following the new WELL v2 construction standard.

Besides, CLD-XL provides correct resolution at any size, unlike dvLed systems, where pixel resolution determines image size, as they say from Visual Displays.

To improve results, “Product selection has been vital,” says Jeffreys.. The essential components of the CLD-XL comprehensive solution are a laser projector Epson 3LCD and an optical Supernova display from dnp, from 130”, that rejects ambient light (ALR) for maximum readability from anywhere in the classroom”.

The Supernova large format projection screen contains an advanced optical lens system, enabling projection of high-impact images even in bright environments.

Unlike standard front projection screens, that reflect and diffuse both ambient and projected light in unwanted areas, This DNP screen enhances the image for optimal viewing by focusing and concentrating the projected light, providing up to seven times the contrast of frontal, according to company data.

“Campuses are full of teaching spaces whose screens are too small. It is encouraging to see that many are now implementing the Discas standard effectively. Ensure that the height of the screen is, at least, a sixth of the distance to the farthest viewer can transform the effectiveness of teaching spaces, and our CLD packages make them attainable and affordable”, afirma Jeffreys.

Visual Displays emphasizes the importance of selecting the most correct package for the application and room size, for which it also offers multiple options, including fixed frame screens, without frame, electric folding, with any of the standard ultra-short throw projection options, with technical advice from its professionals.
