Visionary Develops First HDMI over IP Wallplate Encoder with Bluetooth

The manufacturer has developed two PacketAV Duet models, one with built-in Bluetooth (DueE-WP-BT) and another with simplified HDMI connectivity (DuetE-WP-H).

The new PacketAV Duet wall plate encoders from Visionary They represent another step in the development of AV technology over IP, The DuetE-WP-BT is the first of its kind in the world to combine 4K UHD video and Dante/AES67 audio encoding/decoding over a single Gigabit Ethernet port. (PoE), with built-in Bluetooth wireless audio connectivity.

Con Bluetooth 5.0 to offer greater reach, Faster data throughput and reliable connections, Visionary DuetE-WP-BT supports bi-directional smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for soft-codec AV integration into web conferencing, while eliminating the need for separate bridging hardware.

DuetE-WP-H wall decoder features simplified HDMI-only connectivity. Both models fit in a back box, No electrical modification required and mounts to standard wall plates for use on the wall, the table, a lectern or on the floor.

45º Ethernet connector allows simplified access from either side of the electrical box. Visionary's PacketAV Duet Wallplate encoders feature a single Ethernet port with internal VLAN tagging capability to separate audio and video network traffic, as needed.
