Shure in Commission against Discrimination Bulgaria

The Commission for Protection against Discrimination was established in 2005 by the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. Based in Sofia, also acts as national contact point on hate crimes with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and is accredited as a national Human Rights institution by the United Nations. The nine members of the Commission are in charge of cases related to hate speech, discrimination and equality.

Shure in Commission against Discrimination BulgariaThe courtroom and Commission discussion room is where most official proceedings take place. Speech intelligibility during meetings and recordings is of utmost importance.

There was a discussion system that provided unsatisfactory audio, since it made it difficult to hear critical testimonies and compromised the quality of the recordings. When an upgrade project was started, the new components that were initially offered as replacements did not provide a significant improvement.

The project managers of Forte Music, distribution partner Shure in Bulgaria, met with Commission staff and suggested a higher quality Shure DDS5900 digital discussion system. An on-site comparison demonstrated its sound quality and features.

The two rooms were equipped with a total of 25 discussion units DC5980P, 25 GM5924 gooseneck microphones, a DIS-CCU central control unit and amplifiers. This Shure equipment is accompanied by third-party speakers and audio recorder.
