LumenRadio creates a unified technology platform for wireless DMX

The unified technology platform that has presented LumenRadio aims to standardize the lighting industry, as well as improve the experience for all wireless DMX users.

For more than a decade, LumenRadio has provided its wireless technology DMX CRMX (cognitive radio multiPlex) and to which, since the acquisition of Wireless Solution last year, added that of W-DMX. The coexistence since 2008 of both had led to an industry divided between the two main technologies of wireless DMX.

In 2020, LumenRadio acquired Wireless Solution and, since then, Both brands supply wireless DMX to almost the entire entertainment lighting industry. For this reason, The company is now in a position where it can set an industry-wide standard that makes work easier for users of this technology..

The first step to unify the technologies was the launch of BlackBox G6 de Wireless Solution, which included optional CRMX. This made it possible for W-DMX users to control CRMX equipment for the first time..

Now LumenRadio, whose products it distributes Stonex in Spain, offers the market a unified technological platform, providing all OEM customers modules with combined W-DMX and CRMX technology.

Thanks to it, all fixtures with wireless DMX will be compatible with both W-DMX and CRMX at the same time, and will automatically select the protocol used by the transmitter.

With this new solution it will be possible to use either of the two protocols to control all the Wireless DMX luminaires on the market., regardless of what technology is used. The user will not have to select the operating modes or configure the luminaires, as it will be done automatically during pairing.
