Interxion presents MAD4, its largest data center in Madrid

With a capacity of 35.000 m² of technical space and 30 MW of electrical power, MAD4 is the largest data center in Interxion and the fourth that the company has built.

The presentation of the works of MAD4, which is being built in the district of San Blas-Canillejas, has had the presence of the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Diaz Ayuso, who has highlighted the value of the region as an investment center, in which “There is an economic renaissance and it is thanks to companies like Interxion. “We want to be the digital center of Southern Europe”.

In his speech, Díaz Ayuso has provided some data in this regard, such as: “Every euro invested in a data center multiplies the impact on GDP by twelve”, just like that “The projects announced in data centers in Madrid exceed the 680 million euros”, and that in the district in which MAD4 is located “concentrates 65% of Internet traffic“.
