Understanding flights 2021 brings together more than 2.350 AV industry professionals
The fifth edition of the open days of flights, held for three days at its facilities in Madrid, has had the participation of top-level speakers who have shown and analyzed the latest developments in the AV industry to more than 2.350 visitors.
The edition 2021 of Understanding flights, celebrated from 23 al 25 last November at its Madrid facilities, has offered an intense program of presentations, demos and exhibitions, entertainment, live shows and presentations by renowned professionals from the audiovisual industry.
More than 2.350 visitors have known and learned from the experience of Robb Allan, sound engineer for Massive Attack and Radiohead; Joe Pérez-Orive, Marketing Director of Live Nation Spain; Manuel Saucedo, CEO of Impulsa Events and Facilities; Julia Gomez Cora, CEO of Amapola Entertainment and Podland; Jesus Garcia, CEO de MKTG Spain; Raul Respaldiza, CEO of Zertior, and the electronic music of Dj Nano, among many others.
This AV meeting has been held in the new Plato Below and in the VIP room of the Fluge Audiovisuales facilities in Arganda del Rey (Madrid), that were equipped with advanced sound equipment, lighting and video, to which a mixed reality system has been added.
In addition to the presentations, The Plató Azúl also had stands with new products from manufacturers and distributors such as Santosom, Stonex, THE audio, Meyer Sound, Adam Hall, Earpro, EES, Monacor Iberia, Triple Onda y Kinson.
Besides, SeaSound, Stonex y Monacor Iberia Several teams were given over to the space to hold these open days, to which was added a space in which an interactive and immersive video game was shown, developed in virtual reality by the R&D and new technologies department of Fluge Audiovisuales.
As in previous editions, In this fifth call for Understanding Fluge, the main activity was the presentations, presented on this occasion by Neil Sole, who also moderated the round tables that could be followed both in person and online through the company's social networks and which can be seen on its website.
Live and electronic music was also present in Understanding Fluge 2021 with the participation of Dj Nano and the Chuco Boys y su garage/rock.
Mixed reality
One of the most followed presentations that was repeated during the three days was the one offered by Omar Mohamed, video programmer and R&D manager in the new technologies department of Fluge Audiovisuales.
In each of them, attendees were offered a demonstration of the new mixed reality system, as well as Unreal Engine y D3, in which its operation and possibilities were analyzed in detail.
City of Platos
One of the new features of the edition was the exclusive presentation of the so-called City of Platos, a project for the construction of four large sets, two of them from more than 2.000 m2, which will be located in Arganda del Rey.
The event included the presence Pedro William Hita Téllez, mayor of Arganda del Rey, and the architects of the venue Fernando de Mier and Consuelo López, together with the project shareholders Luis Parra (Discovery Business Strategies); David Garcia (Lacrew Design and Production) y Luis Berlanga (LouLadi).
This space, which will host film productions, television, training and implementation of new technologies, It has total dimensions of 17.000 m2, whose award for the exploitation of sets corresponds to the company Active Landscapes, with Fluge Audiovisuales and Cinelux as approved technology providers.
Specifically, These companies will provide technical support to all customer needs in the lighting area., video, sound, VFX and virtual environments. Besides, the technical school of entertainment Trade Training will be responsible for training students in its facilities through masters and courses.
