Audac brings quality sound to Johannesburg

A sound infrastructure based on audio technology has been implemented in the Tiger's Milk restaurant. Audac. The installation consists of an MTX88 audio matrix of 8 zones providing source selection and level control for seven audio spaces.

At the end of last year, the restaurant and bar Tiger’s Milk opened its doors in Bedfordview (Johannesburg). It is part of the South African Life portfolio & Brand and collaborated with Output OFF to design the audio system of the establishment in which Audac technology was used.

The South African Integrator K2 Innovate provided a zoned audio solution for background music playback throughout the venue. In addition to the sound quality, aesthetics also mattered, and the audio systems had to harmonize with Tiger's Milk's signature black interior. Thanks to the reliability and easy installation and operation of Audac systems, the project was able to be completed in a short period of time.

The installation consists of an audio matrix MTX88 of 8 zones providing source selection and level control for seven designated audio zones. Among these are four main seating areas, a bar, an outdoor area and bathrooms.

The speakers Audac Ateo, with its wall mounting technology CleverMount, have been specified for the bar and seating areas, complemented by universal wall mount speakers WX502.

Abroad, Six Audac weatherproof speakers have been used WX502-O and five AWP06/W, a waterproof ceiling speaker SpringFit. These are designed to perform optimally in outdoor environments and to be resistant to extreme weather conditions.

Bathroom area is equipped with ceiling speakers Cena706 which create an atmospheric ambiance and remain visually discreet thanks to their borderless grill design.

Remote control of the different sound zones is done through the application Audac Touch, allowing restaurant staff to monitor levels from their mobile phone. The entire sound system is powered by a variation of power amplifiers CAP224, CAP424, EPA502 y EPA254.
