Obsidian NX1: modular console for Onyx lighting control

The portable and compact console Obsidian NX1 can be expanded with NX P motorized playback wing and dedicated NX K dedicated keyboard.

Obsidian NX1 joins the compact but fully integrated NX2 and the company's flagship NX4 under the Onyx lighting control platform.

It is a small console where playback and programming interfaces are fully compatible. Using the Onyx operating system, NX1 offers a list of professional features such as an HD multi-touch display from 10,1 high-brightness inches, plus an HDMI output for an additional external touch monitor, allowing for additional customizable views.

Includes four assignable parameter encoders, 10 full motorized reproductions with four freely assignable buttons, plus a hybrid playback array and additional function keys. A dedicated Master Go section completes the front panel design.

Built with a strong infrastructure, introduces the most innovative in industrial-grade components such as a powerful new Intel processor, a high-speed NVMe SSD and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM that allows fast boot times, instantaneous operation and the ability to process 8 Universes directly within the console.

With four DMX ports, one Gigabit network port for up to 8 Universes de Art-Net, sACN plus the Onyx X-Net protocol, the NX1 has extensive connectivity and power for a wide variety of shows and applications.

Expandable with NX P and K

The NX1 can be expanded with the NX P playback wing with motorized faders and a dedicated NX K keyboard that can function as a PC wing on its own.. A magnetic alignment system allows connection to either side of the NX1. The keyboard and playback wing are part of the Onyx platform and can be used with all other NX or Onyx devices on any PC system..

The NX P is a motorized fader wing ideal for any Onyx console 1 and Onyx PC systems. Four integrated DMX ports provide instant connectivity to the lighting system. Multiple NX P wings can be connected to any Onyx console or PC system, extending the shortcut with 20 reproductions at the same time. The array of flexible buttons can be assigned to the playback control or powerful function keys.

The NX P replicates the design and functionality of the NX1 and NX4 console surfaces for smooth and intuitive operation. A magnetic alignment system allows connection on either side of the NX1 console or the NX K command panel.

The NX K is a small USB-powered control surface for Onyx, which replicates the full keyboard and command section of larger consoles. Four encoders complete the programming experience for quick and direct access to parameters. A simple magnetic alignment system allows installation on either side of the NX1 console or the NX P motorized fader.
