Planar Luminate Pro answers the challenges of outdoor establishments

The restaurant-brewery OHSO Brewery has installed an LED video wall Planar Luminate Pro in the outdoor play area. This is a 4.5 bracket×2,7 meters with a pixel pitch of 4,8 mm and a shine of 5.000 nits.

Designed for applications with high ambient light, the outdoor led video wall Planar Luminate Pro Series features 5.000 brightness nits, which makes it ideal for sports, daytime concerts and digital signage, even in direct sunlight. The first OHSO Brewery (Outrageous Home Brewer’s Social Outpost) opened in Arcadia (Arizona) eleven years ago and has since expanded to four locations in the greater Phoenix area. Each of these locations offers an informal atmosphere with large patios that allow animals. The latest one to open has a giant outdoor play area (The Park) for adults, children and dogs, an area in which a large Planar LED video wall has been mounted.

“The initial attraction to adding the video wall was based solely on the sports viewing value it could bring, but it's also been great for other things, like movie nights and special events. When we have live music, we can use it to create a background for the shows. The structure of The Park is arranged so that the video wall can be seen from anywhere”, comment Amanda Cutler, manager of OHSO Brewery.

“The screen is so bright that even in sunlight visibility is not affected at all”, Cutler clarifies. “At night we can control the brightness and lower it so that it is not too intense”.

"During the day, Brightness can be increased by up to 80%. It is a well built product, very durable and robust, to the cables and their connection points”.

These screens have an airtight casing, that protects against dust and harsh outdoor conditions, which gives them an IP65 protection rating.
