Huddly Director

This solution, offering professionally produced video conferencing focusing on participation and communication, It is available for small and large spaces with Huddly S1, L1 and Crew.

Huddly has announced that its Director development is available for small rooms, medium and large in its range of network cameras, Including S1 , L1 and AI-driven multi-camera system Crew. On Huddly L1, this experience was formerly known as Speaker Framing.

This technology is like a personal TV director for meetings. Cut between speaker shots, Listener reactions and real-time room overviews, creating an immersive and engaging experience that delivers the benefits of face-to-face communication.

“In video calls, It's often difficult to pick up crucial social cues, as gestures and expressions. To resolve this, We are inspired by the principles of television production. Working with a professional TV production team, We learned about camera techniques, Framing and rhythm. We then adapted these methods to improve the interactivity of hybrid collaboration.", explains the design director, Knut Helge Teppan.

Huddly Director follows a similar approach by capturing the reactions of both speaker and listeners., reflecting the innate tendency to scan the room during in-person meetings and collect valuable nonverbal cues. This helps to understand the dynamics of the discussion, ensures that all contributions are taken into account, Not just the most vocal ones, and improves communication and decision-making.
