Genelec Smart IP offers personalized sound in the 'home of cricket'

Known as “the four most evocative walls of cricket”, This room is known worldwide for its opulence and is part of the Grade II listed Pavilion, where elegant receptions are held, dinners and lunches.

During 130 years, Long Room has been an important part of Lord's Cricket Ground. Match days, welcomes members to their favorite sport and, at the same time, provides the walkway for players to come down from their locker rooms onto the field.

Lord's Pavilion is a listed building, so aesthetics were very important in the project. The installed system consists of doce modelos Genelec 4430A Smart IP, in custom RAL9001 cream color, supplied by UK distributor Audiologic. This speaker uses PoE to offer SPL and acoustic performance without compromise and is totally Dante compatible and with open transmission standards, as AES67.

The new Genelec system can be controlled via a touch screen on the wall, but Long Room also has a couple of mobile mixing consoles that can be plugged in, giving the room the flexibility needed for larger events.
