Ideum has announced the update of its interactive team Touchless Pedestal and the version 3.0 of the Touchless.Design multi-user open source software.

Touchless Pedestal is a standalone device that provides touchless interaction to large format displays, video walls and projection-based environments. For your part, Touchless.Design allows different Touchless Pedestal devices to connect to a single application and encourages simultaneous interactivity. New improvements include increased performance, both in the software and in the device itself.

The touchless pedestal is designed with a freestanding base and allows mounting directly to the floor, without base. It has a new Amoled HD touch screen 5,5 inches built into the unit that, along with Led lights, provides information to users. It is resistant and safe, with a lockable I/O box.

This equipment is built with a Intel NUC Compute Elements i3, integrated with Windows 10 of 64 bits, a screen and Led lights and a controller 3In Leap Motion.

The integrated screen and LED lights provide an important feedback mechanism for users as they navigate large interactive installations..

Designed for public spaces, The Touchless Pedestal can be connected using the Ethernet connection found on its base or its built-in wireless connection. Has a locking power button or can be configured to activate on LAN.

Together with the open source software Touchless.Design it is easy to create new applications or adapt existing ones. Now, with the version 3.0 provides animated feedback, on-screen orientation and UDP communication between the Pedestal and the application computer.
