Nexo promotes the immersive creation of the Invalides Dome with audio

The sound and light show ‘Invalid Aura‘, created by Moment Factory in this iconic Paris church, has given a new impetus with the installation of an audio system of Nexus that enhances the immersive experience.

Presented in the Tech talk in WHEREAS 2024, the immersive experience developed by Moment Factory in the Dome of Les Invalides in Paris (Dome of the Invalides), offers a unique night tour to discover the French heritage of this 17th century church, where Napoleon's tomb is located.

During the night experience Invalid Aura, visitors are enveloped by the dynamic video projections on your walls, los lighting effects and in the orchestral music that syncs with the content, according to the project created by Moment Factory for the cultural operator Cultivar and in collaboration with the French Navy Museum (Army Museum).

Invalid Aura has a Nexo sound system, installed by French AV technology specialist Novelty Group, which has enlisted the help of the audio manufacturer's engineering support team.

Customized in color RAL to be simulated on the stone walls of this historic building, The system is made up of eight groups, with four units line array of Nexo Geo M6, installed on the walls of the pillars at the entrances of the four chapels.

Added to this are the subwoofers L18, mounted on each of the four corner arches, with model M620 in each one and oriented towards the dome to create a virtual fountain.

Above each arch are the compact enclosures ID24 ground oriented, with additional pairs mounted on the monuments of Turenne and Vauban in the two side chapels, and others complemented with a sub IDS110 in each of the four corner chapels.

Sound is central to this experience that visitors have described “as magical and sublime.”, since the spoken word, music and soundscapes are used in a three-movement journey covering the design and construction of the building, his story and that of the characters.

As he assures Christophe Girres, de Nexo Engineering Support, “It is a great achievement to install a powerful sound system, discreet and coherent in this extraordinary space, with a great TR of fourteen seconds. Both GEO M6 and ID24 achieve high SPL, with precise coverage from relatively small venues. Custom RAL color helps the system ‘disappear’ in this historic environment”.
