Europalco Christie Millennium BCP

A 60 screen×8 metros, divided into three sections, served as the focal point of the event held for the largest Portuguese private bank. This was supported with 12 3DLP projectors 30.000 lumens and 4K resolution Christie, the Spyder X80 processor and Pandoras Box servers.

The Portuguese event provider Europalco has once again used the solutions of Christie to redefine standards in corporate event production. This time he used them to make a spectacular synchronized multi-projection for the annual meeting of Millennium BCP, the largest private bank in Portugal, held at the venue Carlos Lopes from Lisbon.

The event, organized by the agency DCE Loving Brands, was attended by some 1.600 attendees and focused on the presentation of results and the recognition of the most outstanding employees, themes that were integrated into all levels of production. Europalco provided a wide range of services, like sound, lightning, video, cameras, automation, kinetic elements, setting up the stage and furniture.

A gigantic 60 main screen×8 meters divided into three sections (each of 20×8 metros) served as the focal point of the stage. Supported by 12 3DLP projectors 30.000 lumens and Christie 4K resolution, he Spyder X80 video processor and the Pandoras Box servers to carry out the control, the projection was synchronized with the movement of the screens, creating a dynamic backdrop for discussions and performances.

Europalco designed the central section of the screen with functionality capable of raising and lowering according to the needs of the event. For this, technology was used Movecat C1 managed by the controller I Motion Expert T III SIL3 connected to Pandoras Box video servers to synchronize display positioning and video server layers.

On the back of the center section of the main screen, Europalco integrated an additional 20 LED wall×6 metros. This secondary display served to further enrich the visual experience, providing extra flexibility for content delivery and enhancing the overall depth and dimensionality of the scenery.

The result was an impressive, constantly moving projection in which the central screen rose and fell to give way to shows and debates on stage., while videos and closed circuit television of the event were projected.

“At Europalco we like to risk, surprise and surpass ourselves”, explains Pedro Magalhães, CEO of the company. “In this way, We always propose something that makes each project special. In this case it was the giant moving screen that gave enormous dynamism to the event, producing a wow effect among the attendees.. It was not easy to light and manage the millions of pixels of 4K content on moving screens, so for this we rely on the most powerful projection tools, Christie’s processing and show control.”
