Genelec merges design and acoustic technology in commercial spaces

The installation of 22 ceiling speakers Genelec 4435A Smart IP allows Jesamondo to switch between four Pandora music sources in any of the facility's rooms.

He establishment Jesamondo salon & spa from Natick (Massachusetts) has installed an audio system that matches its decor and its staff of more than 40 professionals. The owner, Matt Traiger, had a particular environment in mind and made it a reality thanks to the investment in Genelec Smart IP speakers.

Paul Stewart, Genelec Senior Technical Sales Manager, connected Traiger to Zachary Lacroix, Genelec Integrator Partner Systems Engineer, Parsons Audio, to get the project underway. The chosen system includes 22 ceiling speakers Genelec 4435A Smart IP Dante enabled, that integrate with the aesthetics of Jesamondo and serve the different spaces of the establishment.

Two speakers have been installed in the reception area, one in each of the two reception bathrooms, two in the manicure room, seven in the room, two in the shampoo room, one in each of the four individual spas and one in each of the spa bathrooms, the spa lobby and the hallway outside the spa rooms. Besides, wall dials that take advantage of automation systems Q-SYS offer intuitive zone management and overall control.

Before renewal, Traiger relied on a single Pandora source to populate the music for the entire facility, which sometimes created a dissonance between the needs of the room compared to the more subdued spaces. Now, they have four different Pandora streams, completely routable to any room, to ensure that each space can generate the appropriate option.
