Bose EdgeMax LP: installation speakers for rooms with low ceilings
Designed for conference rooms and rooms where there are spaces with limitations between the false ceiling or ceiling and the ceiling and with narrow environments, the new EM90-LP and EM180-LP models from Bose Professional Features a shallow back shell and 80° vertical coverage.
Bose has unveiled the new EdgeMax LP speakers for ceiling installation, ideal for spaces where this equipment must go unnoticed and for installations in which the false ceiling space is limited or the height of the rooms is low.
The line incorporates the new models EM90-LP and EM180-LP, bringing EdgeMax sound and asymmetrical coverage to smaller rooms and more challenging spaces, and work in conjunction with original EdgeMax speakers to deliver consistent, high-quality performance on projects where specifications and installation conditions vary.
EdgeMax LP models are specifically designed for small rooms with low ceilings and complex installation requirements. They have a back cover 10,2 cm deep, and 60 % smaller than the original models, which makes them ideal for spaces with limited space between the false ceiling or ceiling and the ceiling and with narrow spaces.. They also have a vertical coverage angle of 80°, ideal for conference rooms and work spaces with lower ceilings.
“In his first release in the 2017, “EdgeMax redefined the ceiling speaker category by achieving the seemingly impossible.”, explica Shawn Watts, Product Director at Bose Professional. “EdgeMax includes the power, technology and brute force of a big, bulky surface mount speaker in a discreet and elegant ceiling mount design. These new LP models, with its shallow back shell and 80° vertical coverage, provide installers and designers the freedom and flexibility to choose the model types that best fit their specific needs, while your entire project benefits from the renowned uniform power that distinguishes the EdgeMax line.”.
Large, crowded rooms with higher sound pressure level needs (SPL), like gyms, restaurants and bars, You'll still be able to benefit from the powerful, deeper enclosures of the original EdgeMax speakers.. These have a back cover of 22,9 cm depth and a 75° vertical coverage angle designed to deliver bold, full-range sound, More bass energy and higher SPL capability in larger spaces with high ceilings.
All EdgeMax models feature dual drivers and patented PhaseGuide technology to project powerful, focused sound asymmetrically across a room, in order to deliver performance, outstanding directionality and speech intelligibility and, at the same time, allow placement in discreet locations without being an obstacle. They are designed for specific horizontal coverage: 90° for placement in corners or a wider 180° that is ideal for close fields and extensive coverage.
“We are committed to working together with our partners to create better solutions for the real world”, comments John Maier, CEO de Bose Professional. “EdgeMax changed the game for in-ceiling speakers and, as we work with our clients, We discovered there were spaces where they wanted to use EdgeMax, but in which it was physically impossible to do so. Therefore, We listened to them and got to work.. “Our new LP models now bring that powerful concentrated EdgeMax performance to a wide variety of installations.”.
