LD Systems provides modern sound system to Amza restaurant

To respond to the acoustic challenges of this Romanian restaurant, Curv array systems were chosen. 500 of LD Systems for indoor areas and the DQOR series for the outdoor terrace.

To provide a uniform but versatile sound to the new restaurant establishment Amza, inaugurated this year, the audiovisual equipment supplier Set-UP opted for a combination of the series of Curv speakers 500 y DQOR de LD Systems, brand of Adam Hall, controlled by a Zone X audio matrix 1208 including internet radio players.

The owners of Amza, located in the Romanian city of Sibiu, They have created a restaurant concept in which modernity is present in every corner: more than one hundred tables distributed over a large area, open kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, lots of wood and numerous plants.

“The end customer was looking for a sound reinforcement system with a HiFi sound that, in addition to the usual operation of the restaurant, “It could offer sufficient bass power during specific DJ events.”, explains Grunca Ovidiu, Set-UP owner.

With an interior surface of 25×30 meters, The open room concept required careful selection of speakers with precise orientation, since in Amza there are many reverberant surfaces. It was important to have the vertical dispersion of sound under control.

“Thanks to Curv scalable satellites 500, with its narrow vertical dispersion, There are fewer reflections on the floor and ceiling.”, adds. "That is to say, that there is a more direct sound and a better listening experience than using conventional installation speakers”.

In total, were distributed 16 arrays, with three S2 array satellites each, in the diner area of ​​the restaurant, complemented by two S2 in the toilets.

To achieve the necessary power in the bass, they employed 16 subwoofers bass reflex Curv500ISub de 10″, what, thanks to a narrow profile, could be elegantly mounted in groups of two on the side walls. Control flexible

Optimum acoustic coverage is achieved on the outdoor terrace with eight installation speakers DQOR 8 T IP65 with technology 100 V and a DSP installation amplifier 4 IPA channels 424 T.

“The DQOR series always convinces us, as it combines uniform frequency reproduction with IP65 weather resistance and a modern design”, commented Grunca Ovidiu.

As a content player, in addition to mobile and tablet, added an RSMP, audio player, streaming y radio FM de LD Systems, to conveniently play Internet radio stations.

The distribution of sound content in both areas -interior and exterior-, including source selection and volume control, is performed using a Zone X audio matrix 1208 DSP and a tablet control interface programmed specifically for Amza employees.
