Sony expands its medical monitors with LMD-32M1MD 4K miniLed
With a 31.5” miniLED 4K screen, the new LMD-32M1MD medical monitor from Sony combines advanced technologies and features specifically tailored to unique demands to perform any task in the operating room.
The new medical monitor LMD-32M1MD incorporates the Sony local dimming technology (Backlight Master Drive), which precisely controls the dense mini LED array of the panel backlight, guaranteeing high brightness and contrast.
By independently controlling the LED backlight sources in the light and dark areas of the image, This monitor provides significantly improved black reproduction and contrast ratio 1.000.000:1, with a maximum brightness greater than 1.850 cd/m².
“We are proud to announce the LMD-32M1MD model, a monitor that leverages decades of experience in developing high-performance consumer televisions and professional monitors - explains Ludger Philippsen, Head of healthcare solutions at Sony Europe. Combining advanced technology with Features specifically tailored to the unique demands of the healthcare environment, this new solution offers reliability, precision and versatility to master any task in the operating room”.
Sony LMD-32M1MD minimizes screen reflections to give surgeons clearer vision in brightly lit operating rooms. The exclusive anti-glare technology from this manufacturer combines two other glare suppression: low reflection and surface treatment anti-glare.
Thanks to this combination of technologies, the amount of reflected light is reduced and the incoming light is diffused., resulting in extremely high contrast images, with a wide color range for a accurate color reproduction, resulting in a more realistic visualization of surgical images.
Equipped with LCD technology and signal processing according to the recommendation BT.2020 from ITU-R, The LMD-32M1MD monitor is designed with ease of use and healthcare applications in mind. Your innovative fanless design reduces unwanted interference with the air flow produced by these equipment.
As to connectivity refers, LMD-32M1MD incorporates a wide range of input and output connectors, included 12G-SDI, HDMI y Display Port. He integrated light sensor Automatically adjusts brightness to suit ambient lighting conditions, especially beneficial for procedures performed in low-light environments, like ICG navigation surgery.
He thin bevel and rounded corners of the monitor also simplify its integration in the operating room, while the smooth surface and streamlined shape of the back make it easy to clean.
The resistance of the monitor to the entry of liquids and solid particles, with the IP45 ratings (frontal) e IP32 (rear) dust and splash proof, further enhances its suitability for use in medical facilities.
This monitor's Led backlight selectively displays the active front panel control buttons, with the possibility of customizing three of them for faster access, offering clear guidance to clinical staff even in dark environments.
Another important element in its development has been the sustainability and respect for the environment, with the use of molded pulp packaging materials to eliminate expanded polystyrene foam.
The monitor is also supplied in a covered non-woven bag, mainly made from vegetable cellulose, which reduce the amount of plastic virgin used for packaging in approximately one 86% compared to what was used before.
As Philippsen assures, “This new monitor not only meets the high-performance needs of the healthcare sector, “But it also reflects our commitment to reducing environmental impact and contributing to a more sustainable world.”.
Sony LMD-32M1MD is supported by PrimeSupport from Sony, making it a sustainable investment, and includes up to five years of support and quick repairs.
