Faithful to its strategy of bringing immersive audio technology to a greater number of people, DS100 and DS100M signal processors have been augmented with three expandable I/O license sizes, which allows the system to be adapted d&b Soundscape to any application.

d&b audiotechnik has announced new expandable I/O sizes for the DS100 and DS100M signal processors, an extension of the ecosystem d&b Soundscape. This allows users to tailor their Soundscape system to suit specific needs., whether for small installations, tours or large-scale immersive events.

With the introduction of expandable I/O, DS100 firmware has been updated to offer three license sizes, allowing customers to select the amount of I/O they prefer. This expansion provides a more flexible and cost-effective entry point for projects with d&b Soundscape, while allowing larger productions to benefit from greater channel capacity.

Existing DS100 and DS100M users will receive a free firmware update, which will increase your maximum I/O processing from 64x64 to 128x64. Besides, Two new I/O sizes will be introduced for DS100, which provide 64x24 and 64x64, offering a wider range of prices and application sizes. Licenses can be updated at any time, allowing you to adapt the amount of I/O to your projects and needs without requiring additional hardware.
