Lightware offers collaboration for two displays with a USB-C connection
As part of the Taurus series of Lightware, the UCX-4 model×3-HCM40 is an advanced collaboration device, with extended dual-screen desktop functionality, via a single USB-C connection, for hybrid meeting environments.
The signal management manufacturer Lightware has taken another step to improve connectivity and collaboration in meeting spaces con Taurus UCX-4×3-HCM40, a new generation UCX device designed to offer extended dual screen desktop functionality through a single USB-C connection.
Taurus UCX-4×3-HCM40 supports up to two independent 4K60 displays, with USB device control 3.1, load up to 100 W and macOS compatibility, Windows and tablets, to improve efficiency and user experience in hybrid meeting spaces.
By overcoming the display limitations of Apple M1/M2/M3 devices and not requiring multiple adapters or additional hardware, This device allows users to connect, Collaborate and present reliably and securely.
Lightware Taurus UCX-4×3-HCM40 automatically switches between DisplayPort MultiStream and DisplayLink technologies to ensure optimal performance depending on the connected source.
Also includes Gigabit Ethernet, USB3 for device sharing, E/S HDMI, GPIO, occupancy sensors, RS232 and Lightware's open API for full integration with control systems from third parties.
Con Lightware Advanced Room Automation (LARA), UCX-4×3-HCM40 offers smart features including automatic switching and routing, and of control of room equipment, as, lights, blinds, peripherals, screens and even present a custom welcome image that prompts users to 'plug in the USB-C cable' when someone enters the room.
LARA receives information about the status of calls in real time from the application Lightware Companion, automatically managing USB peripherals and screen expansion based on CU platforms, without the need for user interaction.
Once programmed, this device works discreetly, con flexible installation options under tables, behind screens or inside lockable racks. For the end user, only the USB-C cable and the room touchpad are visible, which creates a clean configuration.
Like all Lightware Taurus UCX devices, model 4×3-HCM40 has been manufactured taking into account the sustainability in the long term and enterprise-grade reliability. A planned USB-A connector improves usability, while a USB switching layer 3.1 Independent host supports multiple hosts and USB devices, plus remotely manageable firmware updates.
