In offering to Moreneta, patron saint of Catalonia, and Pope Francis, Flock Drone Art Studio has created a unique light show at the Montserrat Abbey using two hundred drones.

Coinciding with a momentous week for Catholicism due to the death of Papa Francisco and the patron saint of Catalonia, the Montserrat Abbey hosted on Saturday, 26 April, a light show, configured with two hundred drones, created by specialist Flock Drone Art Studio.

After the success achieved when the Millennium of Monserrat, in September of last year, Flock Drone Art Studio has designed a new show of drones, created specifically for this moment, that has filled this Catalan enclave with light and emotion.

Two hundred drones have flown in perfect synchronization, for more than fifteen minutes, to create a choreography of about ten figures related to spirituality, the history and landscape of Montserrat, with special prominence of Moreneta and the late Pope Francis.

As pointed out Fran Arnau, CEO de Flock Drone Art Studio, “we wanted this show to be an experience that would connect people with the history of Montserrat and with the figure of the Pope, using the tools of the 21st century, to tell a story of faith, culture and nature. We are excited to have been part of this historic celebration, creating something that will remain engraved in the memory of everyone present.”.

With this second artistic proposal in Montserrat, This company once again places value on “its creativity and commitment to merge art, technology and cultural identity”, in which he also highlights “his commitment to sustainability, being a silent and environmentally friendly alternative, as well as with people with hypersensitivity and animals, in front of traditional fireworks”.
