Archeology, 360º narration and technology make up 'Tutankhamun': the immersive exhibition', created by Madrid Digital Arts (MAD) and produced by FKP Scorpio Entertainment, powered by the Beeblade media player Hive y 44 projectors Epson.
Tutankhamun: the immersive exhibition, that will be until 29 June 2025 in it ExCeL from London, invites visitors to delve into the story of the boy king in a spectacular reimagining of Ancient Egypt.
Produced by FKP Scorpio Entertainment and created by Madrid Digital Arts (MAD), this experience of 2.415 m2 combine archeology, immersive storytelling and technology to surprise visitors.
In the center of the show a wall of 8 meters high with a 360º projection mapping, a sophisticated work of technological engineering designed to transport audiences to a richly detailed ancient world.
It is central immersive space, known as the ‘black box’, has been designed and installed by Belgian multimedia specialists Painting with Light (Pulse), with the projection of Epson y la reproducción multimedia del sistema Hive Beeblade.
From the beginning, el proyecto tuvo un calendario ambicioso.
multimedia servers Beeblade Pluto de Hive, housed in three compact boxes Beehive, They are the backbone of the experience. Known for out-of-the-box reliability, its optimal synchronization through multiple outputs using Beesync, its easy-to-use software and scalable low-power architecture, These features determined its choice for this exhibition and function without problems day after day.
He projection canvas, of more than 1.200 m2, displays content played in massive ultra-wide resolutions and frame rates 30 fps. The result is an uninterrupted visual journey through tombs, ancient temples and landscapes, with stunning clarity and synchronized with an immersive 3D audio environment.
Cuando se produjo un corte de electricidad durante un espectáculo en directo, PWL technical team responded instantly, diagnosing the problem remotely and guiding exhibition technical staff to a solution within hours, which ensured it continued with minimal disruption.
The one in London is the last in a series of international presentations of Tutankhamun: the immersive exhibition, that has already captivated more than 1,8 million visitors in twelve cities, including Madrid and Cairo. But it is also the first time that the new modular format black box, specifically designed for easy repeat use as the experience travels to new markets.
Peter van Bilsen, strategic director of PWL, assures that “working with Hive in Tutankhamun: the immersive exhibition was a true example of how the right technology and teamwork can deliver exceptional results under pressure. Its multimedia server proved its reliability and adapted perfectly to the fast deadlines. “We are proud of the result and the magnificent collaboration that has allowed us to achieve it”.
For your part, Mark Calvert, CEO and co-founder of Hive, points out that “working at the new London immersion center, ImmerseLDN, It has been a fantastic experience.
