Extron DA2 HD 8K AE and AI

Los models DA2 HD 8K AE and DA2 HD 8K AI, now available, are the latest additions to the range of 8K distribution amplifiers from Extron, both with two outputs to extract LPCM audio from the HDMI input signal and convert it to analog, with configuration for stereo or dual-mono signals.

The amplifier Extron DA2 HD 8K AE offers two-output 8K HDMI distribution to extract two-channel LPCM audio from the HDMI input signal and convert it to analog. The model DA2 HD 8K AI accepts analog audio from two independent channels and converts to LPCM audio 16 bits a 48 kHz to incorporate it into the HDMI output signal.

Both teams, HDCP compliant 2.3, incorporate features and functions that streamline integration and operation, as Extron EDID Minder Plus, a technology that supports additional memory blocks for displays that transmit advanced functions via EDID and DisplayID for the proper management of this information, reliably displaying and distributing content with 5K aspect ratio and 21:9.

These new Extron models ensure high-quality, reliable system operation in a wide variety of professional environments, from presentation halls to esports stadiums.

“Many professional audio devices do not fully support embedded audio and non-HDMI 8K functions,” he says. Casey Hall, Extron Marketing Director. These new distribution amplifiers feature EDID Minder Plus, offering advanced EDID management and editing capabilities to ensure full compatibility”.

Designed and manufactured for commercial audiovisual applications with 8K video resolution requirements, Both models provide two outputs that support HDMI data rates 2.1 from up to 40,1 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up 12 bits, 3D and HD lossless audio formats.

Other features include input cable equalization, output muting, Audio settings and Key Minder to continually verify HDCP compliance. They also offer audio gain and attenuation adjustment and +5 VCC, 250 mA power on each output for external peripheral devices.

These audio and video capabilities of DA2 HD 8K AE and DA HD 8K AI “meet the industry needs for audio processing and distribution of high data rate HDMI signals to standard and ultra-wide aspect ratio displays.”, as 21:9 y 5K”, they point out from Extron.
